Hancock County, Illinois has contracted with Mid-West GIS to create a Traffic Sign Inventory for the Township roads. This inventory will be used for the Illinois Rural Sign Upgrade Program, which assists with the replacement of older and damaged signs with new signs with retroreflective sheeting that meets the Highway Safety Administration guidelines. Many of the municipalities in the County will also participate in this project.
